Allow me to start off by admitting that I am in no way a fan of Amare Stoudemire. I do not like his attitude one bit – as long as Amare gets his, that’s all that matters. While he is offensively talented, he cannot play a lick of defense. That being said, this man can dunk and he can dunk HARD. He throws it down so violently he damages people – physically and emotionally. Take Anthony Tolliver for instance…
March 22nd, 2010 – The Suns and Warriors met up for a game that would have no bearing on the NBA landscape at all. With 2:36 left and Phoenix down by three, Jason Richardson comes up with a steal, pushes the ball up the court and passes it off to Amare, who sees Anthony Tolliver and decides that he needs to crush his soul. Then Amare does what Amare does best – he rises up with no regard for the man in his way, cocks his arm back and slams the ball home…demoralizing his defender and the hoop all at the same time.
Don’t believe me when I say that Amare destroys people and their careers? Tolliver decided that, due to this dunk, he could no longer show his face in Oracle Arena and opted to test free agency. The team he chose? Minnesota Timberwolves. No rational man makes that decision…
